I usually learn piano from YouTube and have been doing a bit of guitar on there also
i may have to learn online because my autism gets real bad
Good luck with finding classes, sometimes you can find groups through places like your local library.
If you can't get classes, I thought I'd mention, my son is learning the guitar (with a tutor), but they have been using the 'RockSchool' books -they seem really good and you can get version that let you listen to the music online, and if you get the interactive e-book, you can slow down and loop sections, to help practice. It's also more popular music, so you might enjoy that aspect.
Whatever style you want to play, you will need to know some chords.
You can find plenty of free diagrams online, plus I'm sure there are lots of videos on YouTube.
There is a think called TAB notation. This shows you music with diagrams of where to put your fingers. Try to follow the correct finger position, which will feel unnatural.
You can also learn a scale. These are basically patterns on the neck. There are a few, but just pick one, say C. If you type in "guitar tab notation scales c" into Google you will see it.
You start on the 8th fret of the lowest string and work across to the 8th fret of the top string, 2 octaves higher.
Once you have worked out what to do with your left hand, you can think about the right hand. You either strike downwards, or down and up. They sound slightly different. Try to work on being even, in speed, force and timing. You can use a pick for this, a small piece of plastic.
If you more classical, then you practice plucking with your finger nails.
Being able to play 6-10 chords and change between them quickly is the main thing that takes a lot of time.
You can get a lot for free, but there are also good books.
If you want blues, it is easier, if you want jazz it is hard, if you want classical it is more technical. Songs from your favourite bands can be easy it hard, depending on who you like. You can normally find TAB for these online, it just buy it.
For classes, you will need to Google tutors in your area.
