Cheese!

Odd one but wondered if this was something anyone else shared. Cheese gives me anxiety! And I love cheese!

When the cheese and biscuits come out I feel anxiety over it. I’m pretty sure now that it might be a smell sensitivity with Stilton and I really like Stilton - but for some reason I start feeling anxiety and it knocks my stomach/makes me feel awkward.
doesn’t happen when I just grab some cheese for lunch!

just thought I’d share!!!

  • I like cheese, but I don't think it has ever caused me anxiety. I've heard it said that eating cheese before bed can trigger nightmares, but I think that is possibly an old wives tale.

The smell of blue cheese is one that I find revolting. I tried it once, and found the taste to be equally as revolting.

My dad used to like the taste of raw tomatoes, but they disagreed with him and would cause him to feel sick. It could be that you're experiencing a similar thing with Stilton, or cheese in general.

I get this. There are types of unpasteurised French cheese that you can buy in supermarket (I think Le Rustic is one that many have) which once opened smells like something soiled itself and died, but the flavour is incredible, especually when served warm.

I have brought it back to the country I live in a few times and it always stinks out my suitcase, even through several plastic bags. It is worth it to introduce my family to it though - they love it.

Holding your nose while eating makes it much better, but then the smell still lingers - burning it seems the only way to get rid of it and I'm not sure the burned cheese smell is really that much better.

Maybe on of those swimmers noseclips is the answer. Then afterwards burn the house to the ground. Simple but effective Wink
