  • Neuroscientist David Eagleman talks about experiences like this in terms of timing in the brain—basically, when different brain systems fall out of sync, perception can feel real even if it’s not coming from outside. When someone is exhausted or dissociating, the brain can struggle to stay aligned with the present moment, which can make voices or other unusual sensations more likely.

This doesn’t automatically mean anything permanent; it mostly shows the brain is under a lot of strain.

Rest hydrate nutrition sleep fresh air and daylight and reducing stress and avoid trying todo too much at once. Slowing down too might help.
