Favourite Tea, Coffee or Hot Chocolate.

I’ve got a new found love for decent  tea, coffee and hot chocolate, what’s your favourites? I’ve found a Clipper brand of hot chocolate that I love and a Fair Trade Colombian coffee that’s strong in flavour, I seem to enjoy intense flavours. Went to  a small independent cafe yesterday that still uses loose leaf tea, it was very enjoyable and felt correct, the cafe was also quiet and not a free space for computer users.

What’s your favourite brew?

  • I like Illy Intenso coffee which I use with my manual espresso machine to make espressos and americanos. It is dark and full bodied and in conjunction with the machine (and my tampering skills), produces wonderfully flavoured coffee with a beautiful crema. I bulk buy it at a vastly reduced price.

I drink one cup of tea per day and use Nambarrie tea bags. It was originally a Northern Irish company but is now part of Twinings. It has a bold and lively flavour and is produced from Indian and African teas although the countries of origin aren’t specified.

Kenyan black teas are my favourite so I might change brand if I find something I like. I used to use loose leaf and a teapot and I might go back to that, especially if it’s cheaper.
