Legal advice

When calling for legal advice is it normal for them to advise you that depending what you say they may need to inform your doctor, your local police force, your EMPLOYER …. Surely if you’re calling for legal advice about your employer they wouldn’t need to inform them, I mean I hope not. Surely that would be corruption?

  • There are some laws which these companies have to follow such as:

1 - If you talk to them about ending yourself then they are required to contact your GP for your own wellbeing.

2 - if you indicate that you are going to end someone else they they are required to contact the police to potentially avoid this crime.

I don't know about laws that require them to contact your employer unless your employer is paying for the legal advice for you in which case this may be part of their contract.
