A different perspective on things

If autistic people were the majority in society, then this forum wouldn't exist.  We'd all be going happily about our business.

The so called "normal people" would have forums about how to navigate this crazy world they live in.

So no one on either side is broken or needs fixing.  We are just hard wired a bit different.

Its hard for people to embrace their diagnosis and be open about it, because theres still alot of stigma around autism and negative steotypes.

I was formally diagnosed at 60, so i'm gonna give myself some grace for getting this far.

the one thing that gets me through is the internal narrative I give myself, which has the be positive.....otherwise I'd sink into depression, and I seriously dont want that, coz ive been there and got the tee-shirt.

I hope anyone who reads this give themself some grace, and acknowledge the challenging stuff theyve navigated.
