Discrimination in Workplace and Learning environments

Some people might find this difficult to discuss.

I for many years have found it difficult to earn, I can place the reason for this being for several reasons but the most prevailant being obstructions being put in the way of my ability to earn.

as a side note: At University to I noticed a lot of pushback/kickback because of who I was - rather than drop out I finished (largely because I wanted to observe why others had been doing this).

This is a culture which allows behavioural and visual stereo typing foor people to remove competiveion and succeed, often as a dumbed down team,

One example I can give is a role where I was required to travel to different sites and manage board meetings. The manager had employed someone to convene these meetings. Several times this person gave me the wrong location details to attend the meetings. Had I gone to the wrong location the meeting would have needed to have been cancelled. As is my nature I checked everything before hand and when called out the convener could not explain why I was being sent to the wrong location and others to the correct one.

I have had similar situations where young female office workers were sabotaging spreadsheet data then hightlyiignn errors which I had made. When I showed backups of my work against the tracked changes they had made they could not explain these anomolies.

This is why I am anxious at work, because people no longer play by rules, and often attempt to turn the workplace to work only in their advanctage, taking one for the team I have heard it said

the work in numbers because this gives their minds pleasure, if things dont go to plan they can always use forceful tactics. I believe this is a pervasive problem especially with the highly education (but unaware) new graduate employees – that the workplace odds are turned against them,

For me I could not understand why for many years however hard I worked the less I earned, often less the harder and longer hours. My pension was incomplete, colleagues did not respect me or my personal time. I am a scientist and view facts over long periods what I have noticed is a serious discrimanatory issue in the workplace, even long before I was diagnosed ASD people were trying to manaipulate and exploit me there. Although I did have good employers, I noticed some shocking patterns which prevented me from wanting to return to the 'Team'.

I think about this a lot because in every way it is what is most affecting my quality of life and that of others . I personally don't think accepting it as normal is the way forward...And I just wanted to know some other peoples views on this.

I believe it should be an open national discussion.

  • Keep a log if you think there is something in it…. However don’t always think too much into it if it’s isolated sometimes it’s just mistakes people don’t want to admit to, it becomes a problem if you see it happening too often but it’s also mentally exhausting to be treated in that way and you certainly shouldn’t be instructed to do the wrong thing
