If Name Blindness is a thing is forgetting where you are going also a thing?

Is there a name for forgetting how you are going to get where you’re going either on foot or by car?! I’ve done this since I learnt to drive (40 years ago) and have to try to think of the place I’m going (sometimes that’s really hard to visualise) and then think back to where I am now to work out my route. If that doesn’t stick I have to keep doing it over and over again on the journey. Does anyone know if this is an autistic thing or just me?

  • I think some people just have a poor sense of direction, maybe thats it? Some people have poor visualisation skills and really struggle, so maybe you've got both? My Mum has a terrible sense of direction, she's the only person I know who can get lost on a train she's already on!
