Participants wanted: Family Wellbeing, Social Support, and Caregiving Experiences: Insights from Professionals in the UK

By engaging with professionals across education and health sectors in the UK, the study aims to identify key facilitators and barriers in service delivery, map out cultural and systemic influences, and explore how these influence family wellbeing outcomes.

  • Dr. Valentina Sclafani – Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology UoL Ms. Rachael Mason – Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care UoL
  • Dr. Nikolaos Kargas – Associate Professor in Psychology, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU)

We are seeking healthcare and education professionals in England who are directly involved in supporting autistic children and their families. Eligible participants include General Practitioners (GPs), Health Visitors, Paediatricians, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs), Educational Psychologists, and school-based staff (including SEN teaching assistants and teachers). Participants should have a minimum of six months’ experience working with autistic children and their families.

As a token of appreciation, individuals who complete the focus group discussion and/or interview will receive a £10 Amazon voucher.
