Occupational health/probation

Hi

So ive got my occupational health assessment tomorrow and im scared for it..aparently they reviews are bad. My probation is also coming to an end soon and im really scared they'll fail me.  I dont wamt to fail it! I really want to stay in my job, its been difficult at times and an incident happened on my last shift that really upset me - just comments made by one of the workers, ive not spoken to my manager about it,  scared it'll be used again me in probation. I was doing really well had good shifts then ladt thurs because of bonfire night upset of comments I didn't go in , and was so tired I couldn't tell anyone in not coming in.  Tge service manager sent me a message to say they were concerned I didn't text and I need to message in if not coming to help them manage worry and service and now wants to gace a meeting with myself,  her and my manager.

Mostly theyve been support on my autism but it feel like a nuisence! Burden, my autism makes me not good enough.  I want to be given a chance. I really really dont want to lose my job.im scared about this 3 way meeting.  Why,????  Are they kicking me out!?? I don't feel comfortable with 3 way, all I want is a supportive 121 conversation.

  • So... ive had the occupational health appt l, it went okay.she was nice.  Im fit to work and work need to carry on making adjustments.

The meeting with service manager and my manager should I wish is on Monday. I asked what its regarding they said to check in,see whether I wish to carry on working there as shes awar le its causing Pray a lot of stress.  She said i can do role and they want to support but want the best outcome for me  the email was reassuring let's hope the conversation is just as supportive! Please Pray

I spoke to my manager on Thursday. I asked he didn't raise edge towards anything,  he just kept neutral. Only thing is he asked if ill cope with thr outcome and when i said everyone says itll be supportive but in reality it might not be and he said anything, which suggests to me that no.

  • I'm pleased. It was as I expected; they want to help you. Try not to pressure yourself too much. They recognise you can do the job. Try to relax and accept it.

They can see the stress. When you're feeling it, here's something that takes a few seconds:

Close you eyes, take a deep breath, lower your shoulders, think "down" and breathe out. Feel your arms get heavier, open your eyes. It works.

Also maybe this image may help:

Think of yourself like a duck. Things can bead and roll off you like water droplets off the duck. They don't need to stick. Just focus on being a duck, floating along, and let things not affect you.  You know what you're doing, trust yourself.
