Light sensitivity

I didn't think I was, after all I've managed for 57 years ok.

But I've started wearing a baseball cap indoors after noticing if I shielded my eyes from light from above I immediately feel calmer. My breathing is easier, i.e. diaphragm breathing rather than chest breathing, and more relaxed too. It may also help me stay asleep at night as I am more relaxed when going to bed. The last 2 nights have been much better.

AI suggests to use more lamps rather than ceiling lights and use bulbs with 2700k bulb temp colour. I have yellowy white (warm white?) led bulbs, but it seems they may contain lots of blue still. I have 60W equivalent so I can read, but seems I need to change my lighting.

I'm surprised how much difference a cap has made.

Just sharing in case it helps someone else and you haven't thought of it.

  • Hi

I have started to wear a baseball cap when I'm out walking which I feel gives me a level of protection. When I get back indoors I'm reluctant to take my cap off and when I do I feel so exposed.

I'm not sure if it's about the light though but I get why it would help with that.

    Thanks for sharing!

Hope you continue to sleep well.
