I just received my ASD diagnosis

So, I got my ASD diagnosis 2 hours ago. I am all in a muddled mess…but I am so glad that I finally have an answer for all that I’ve been through (I’m now in my mid 50s).

I only just joined this online community so…I now have to figure all this out. In any case, I’m very happy to be here in the communityBlue heartBlue heart

  • Hi and welcome to the 'Latelings' club.

First you will have to process what your diagnosis means for you. It will be inevitable that you will have some grief when you process your life through the autism lens. It is only natural but the most important thing is to be kind to yourself. You are broken or wrong but you are only different to the majority of the population.

Second this will take some time to properly process and accept you being you.

    Best wishes and good luck.

  • Hi Mr T. Thank you so much for your advice. Truly appreciated!
