Was wondering if anyone here has a partner/spouse who is also autistic. My OH was diagnosed with autism 18 months ago, having been together for over 20 years neither of us suspected it until a friend was telling us about suspecting autism in themselves and OH had a light bulb moment. I started looking into it and it seemed so obvious, why hadn't I seen it? However nothing I read made me wonder about myself, I only started looking into it for myself when OH said he thought I was autistic last Christmas. I thought he was being ridiculous, and reading too mush into my existing diagnoses of ADHD and Dyspraxia. He mentioned a few more times, I asked why, he said he saw similarities between me and children he taught with dual diagnoses, at that point I took it more seriously, looked at the book "I think I might be autistic" and discovered I identified with so much - the number of boxes I was ticking was unreal!
Neither of us suspected anything in over 20 years, and here we are, both autistic
