Recently diagnosed - looking for psychatrist who could prescribe medication

 I am 50 and recently diagenosed ADHD /ASD 

I have my assessment done privately but it does not include precription

I am looking for Psychiatrist who can prescirbe medication as my GP only continue the treatment ONCE initiated by a psychiatrist 

Please advice / sign post if you have any information

  • That seems odd -  your GP may have someone in their practice that specialises in Mental Health.

    I went to talk to mine, they admitted they knew little about Autism, but literally I have to stop them just writing me a prescription for meds: my visit I was hoping for a general chat about my MH post diagnosis and with starting CBT for social anxiety, so think I need to find somewhere else for that.
