I wanted to put down a few points. Mainly because I feel huge vulnerabity to being exploited in the workplace, as I feel elsewhere, by people who see me as a stepping stone or open door to use or walk through. I have mentioned elsewhere on the forum that two employers deliberately failed to pay NI they were challenged by HMRC who ordered them to pay back missing pension years. I actually feel that this problem is a more widespread form of subtle discrimination. Similarly how new graduates might be employed then not paid, people with ASD might be viewed as less valuable to an organisation. And therefore easily disposed of. The lack of awareness of certain workplace issues autistic people face (which are actually barriers even before disclosure). I am also amazed there are not the same laws to protect people. I haven't been paid by an employer for over ten years, as non of my applications are being responded to beyond interview stage, so I am self- employed not by choice. I feel like there needs to be a national petition put to the government to debate this, and new laws as not all employees are treated the same way. There are those who are forcibly bypassing systems. I am a qualified tolerant man bordering on middle age and I feel excluded and undermined by the entire system as it currently exists.
