social prescribing

Hi, new here kinda well lost old account but only had 2 posts from years ago, anyways onto point I'm signed up with social prescribing to get help possibility with re-locating due to so many trigger never allowing me to get into a stable state of mind and lack of mental health servers around my area but I've not heard from my social prescriber in over 5 weeks send emails and text and feel like I'm being completed ignored and given up on again, though same time might just not want to give me false hope since these things can take along time...

so my question is can social prescribing help with moving away? and is it normal not to hear from them for over 5 weeks after being in regular contact for 2 weeks prior to the 5 week gap?

sorry if I'm being impatient!

  • Hi and welcome back! Wave

My social prescriber was very flexible and accommodating in terms of our appointment schedule and frequency, but I can't imagine any situation where they would have gone silent on me for over five weeks.

I'd suggest letting your GP know what's happening, and asking them to check in with the social prescriber on your behalf, to find out whether there's an issue of some kind.

  • Thank you, i have made contact them, ( without giving details ) everything is all good they were off for awhile and will be back in contact with me soon!
