Fresh air

It’s a beautiful autumn day in England and I am feeling particularly unsettled/fussy and no quiet place at home. Nearly had a meltdown about nothing this morning.  So I have put on my sunglasses and headphones and gone for a walk by myself. I’m trying to do the things that make me feel better, calmer. Found myself stress- stimming earlier, I’m still learning about the true me, but learning every day,  the walking has helped. What does everyone else do to calm themselves when the pressure inside is too much?

  • I love conkers, gifts from trees! Last week a tree rained conkers down on me, I was so happy, I keep a load in the cup holder in my car, along with trolley tokens and parking money, if my mechanic forgets who I am, I say 'the woman with the conkers' and he knows straight away who I am.

I think it's such a shame that when we grow up we feel we have to have a small child with us so as we can enjoy simple things, like conkers, kicking piles of leaves, jumping in puddles and being the first one to leave footprints in new snow. I think we'd all be better off if we played more.
