Interesting article about Monostropism at NAS

My "score" on the Monotropism questionnaire was 200. If you like to share it, what was yours? For me it was not a surprise, and it was a fun questionnaire.

I always assumed Monotropism meant the opposite to ADHD, so maybe I don't know what ADHD is, because there is at least high correlation, from what I read.

I’ve done that test before, I score 217 which is surprisingly high! When I read the description of monotropism I think I probably do have it a little but  when I answer those questions I realise it’s a big part of me.

And what are your SPINs? If you want to share it.

Just do what you can and remember your expectations of yourself need to be always kind. We all learn differently. I am good at some things but actually really bad at others, if I even begin to feel slightly stressed it’s all over for me at that time and I take a long time to settle myself down again. I think all humans are generally not kind to themselves like animals are.

I am not good at either of those things. I can do mental arithmetic very well, but other maths is very hard for me and I struggled with it at school. Same with computers, it’s too much for me and causes stress when things go wrong. You will get really good if you carry on enjoying them.

Programming and maths, Im not very good at either, just have been primary interests for a long time.

I love horses too and have studied them to diploma level. I don’t own a horse though it would be my dream to.

I would love a dog. I have a cat and love reading everything about cats, serious books as well as silly memes. I cannot imagine how I will feeL when my cat passes away. He is a big part of my life. When I was a child I would be late home from school because I would stop and talk to cats I met along the way, not a care in the world for my mother waiting at home wondering what had happened to me.
