Least and most preferred transport type

Part 1

If you have the choices:

1. Car (you drive)

2. Taxi

3. Bus

4. Train

Which is the least preferred one? And, do you know why?

Part 2

And from all possible types of transport (not just the 4 above) which is your most preferred one? And, do you know why?

Parents
  • Preferred method of transport is: driving myself in my own car.

Bus & Train my least preferred options. Coach (such as National Express etc) is better than by bus - more comfortable seating (as opposed to busses where, particularly in cities, I may have to stand on a busy day!)

Also adding to the mix: Plane; I travel abroad a lot - When going abroad I often drive myself to the airport and park nearby, and rent a car at the other end - but the experience of going to an airport and flying on a plane - despite the fact it involves lots of people: I find that really fun.

Perhaps its the anticipation of the destination at the other end, or the sensory aspect of being on a plane (movement of the plane in turbulance, the noise of the engines etc) which makes that pleasant - where I'd otherwise struggle around lots of people (train stations - no thanks!)
