Part 1

If you have the choices:

1. Car (you drive)

2. Taxi

3. Bus

4. Train

Which is the least preferred one? And, do you know why?

Part 2

And from all possible types of transport (not just the 4 above) which is your most preferred one? And, do you know why?

Parents
  • I prefer my car with me driving. I don't like being a passenger, I don't feel in control and I get anxious. I like my own space in my own car with it's familiar smell. As long as I've got my Satnav on I'm ok. If I didn't have to book a taxi and communicate with the driver this would probably be second but as it involves communicating it goes third. Train would be second, I can buy a ticket through a machine and hopefully get a seat on my own. I don't like them when they're very busy or smelly etc. Buses are last. I rarely use them and never really have so I don't really know what to do. But on the rare occasion that I have used them, I dislike how often they stop, a short journey takes forever. They are often busy. I have to ask for a ticket when I get on, I can't just press buttons. I wouldn't like it if someone sat next to me. I worry I'll miss my stop. They don't usually have the same scrolling information as trains and I don't have a good sense of direction. If we're counting walk as a mode of transport I'd probably slip that in second as long as it was a reasonable distance to walk.
