Popular singers whose voice just grates

There are a few very successful singers that I really cannot stand to hear their voices. The sound just grates horribly. I wondered if anyone else has sensory problems with singers who appeal to many people.

My top aural horrors are: Janis Joplin, Rod Stewart, Liam Gallagher and Morrissey.

    Me too, but then being a contrary and thrawn sort fo person, I'm inclined to dislike or at least be wary of someone or thing that everyone says is great.

    John Denver and many of those C&W singers grate on me, for both their voices, thier instruments and the whinging of their songs, it makes me want to grab them by the scruff of the neck and give them a good shake and tell them to get a grip.

    Gene Pitney's voice grates on me too and the Bee Gees, they definately have someone tugging on their nadgers!
