Autistic dreams, anyone?

Last night, I dreamt I had a meltdown. This was a first for me, and I wonder if anyone on the forum ever dreams of autistic phenomena? Strangely, I haven’t had a meltdown in reality for many years (I usually shut down instead). And the meltdowns I used to have were quite unlike this dream meltdown.

  • I suffer daily nighmares, which are much more frequent than neutral dreams for me.

The ones I would relate to autism involve people making fun of me, incl. family, due to being different but not understood (imho).

Other nightmares are from childhood / teenage years trauma, and fobias (to bats, spiders, stinky bugs) and I don't know whether they may relate to Au (doesn't seem so).

Yet other nightmares arise from daily events that make my anxiety sky rocket, even simple things like unpredictability of an event and miscommunication with others. These rarely conserve the people though, but conserve the situation to an extent. This is at least Au related.

Often I wake up covered in sweat and cold. Only rarely I wake up crying, it is quite shocking.
