I've been self diagnosed for the last 4 years, and wondered about myself since I was about 37 (I'm nearly 50 now), so to have the official diagnosis is very validating.
I'm going to need time with my partner and my therapist to process all of this as there's still a lot to go through and unpack, even though I've been calling myself AuDHD for the last few years. Now I got the badge to prove it.
It's an emotional moment but a happy one.
