face to face interactions and autism

Hi all

I came across an interesting article on face to face interaction in autistic adults this afternoon.

It might not be right for everybody as it is written from a quite academic perspective and is pretty "information dense".

Anyway I thought I would share it as it might be an interesting thing to stimulate discussion.

here's the link https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/symb.70017

or if that's not a good way for you to access it then it's title is

Rethinking Face-to-Face Interaction: Lessons from Studies of “Autistic Sociality”

and is written by

Prof. Lars E. F. Johannessen

which you could look up if you want to.

  • I've always found research papers such as this much easier to read as a pdf - the paper can be viewed as a pdf by clicking on the pdf button to the right and below the title and then downloaded by clicking the download symbol on the top right of the next page.
