Do you prefer male or female singers

For me it’s female singers for pop snd male for metal anything else can go either way

my favourite female singers apart from the obvious(the best musican ever) are Hayley Williams, avril lavine,Mary spender and oliva rodgrigo

For males it’s Pete wentz, Brendan uri, Colin hay(hes probably my favourite male singer),Terry rytz and Gerard way

nkw I don’t expect many will know Terry so please look up a song called one last chance by cuecliche

  • Edith Piaf was a classy singer — I love her voice.

  • Depends on what is being sung and on my mood, but generally I don’t have a fixed preference.

  • More male than female.

The male singers I like most are: Bryan Ferry, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Frank Sinatra, David Sylvian, David Byrne, Peter Gabriel, Robert Palmer, Pharrell Williams, Neil Tennant (Pet shop boys), Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran) and Jon Marsh  (The Beloved)

The female singers I most admire are - Sade, Madonna, Kylie, & Annie Lennox.

  • I mostly listen instrumental post rock; the rest is mostly male but also female singers like Joan Baez, Edith Piaf, etc.

  • My step son is in a death metal band, I told the sound of his singing is like demons vomiting

You're only encouraging him! He'll probably use your line on his CV.

  • My step son is in a death metal band, I told the sound of his singing is like demons vomiting, he thought that was cool.

C&W is an abomination in my eyes. Rock and metal I've just got bored of, mostly it dosent' resonate with me.

I tend to like a few tracks and not all by any artist.

I think because my only musical talent was singing, although I was totally untrained and never realised what I had until just before I lost my singing voice, I concentrate more on the tone of the singer and if I'd be able to sing the song properly. As a child I'd sing along to opera just as much as would something on the radio, apparently the first thing I sang was Baby Love, by The Supremes.

  • I've never really thought about this and didn't think I had a preference. But I think I do actually like a lot more male singers than I do female. Whether this has anything to do with them being male I don't know. I may just prefer the music they make. I do really like low bass tones though so perhaps there is something in the male voice that is preferable for me to listen to. I don't dislike female singers. And back when I was in school Avril Lavigne was my absolute favourite singer so I definitely do like them. But I'm struggling to think of a current female singer that I particularly like.

I've not heard of any of the male singers that you like. My favourite current male singer is probably Lewis Capaldi.

I'm a bit random with music though. There aren't many singers or bands that I really really like and want to listen to all their songs. I will just really like a song or 2 most of the time. Occasionally there will be exceptions where I just like everything they do.

  • I can't say I have a preference. I like the sound of the music and the sound of the voice and they usually work together. I don't go looking specifically for female or male singers.

I'm liking a bit of CMAT these day (female singer). But I'm also reliving my Radiohead days (male singer). And I've been listening to Bach played on piano (no singer; though I can hear Glenn Gould—probably Autistic—humming along in the background, which I find adorable).

I have some odd reactions, too. I can't get enough of Aretha Franklin, but I'll have a meltdown if subjected to more than a minute of Whitney Houston.

  • are you trying to make this a personal insult haha just joking it’s like my t.e said to make a comparison to diffent religions if we all likes the same music or people life would be boring

country rock and metal are awesome thats said im very very inclined towards pop a lot

also I find metal to be very broad I hate screamy and  death metal for example

  • I like a lot of female singers, but I don't dislike male ones, just often the music they choose to sing. I'm not a fan of metal or rock and country is an abomination.
