Help

Hi

just wondering if anyone can help me

my 2 year old is going through diagnosis at moment, he already has a suport group who visit house once a week and he goes to stay and play sessions, they have also told me he will have a full time support worker at play school with him in September!!

we we have just been given 3 months to leave are current property due to landlord wanting it back for family! We have been looking for ages but no one will have us with out guarantor due to my partner being self employed, and getting help with rent dss!

Basicly im soooo worried as we have tried apeverything , I'm so worried how my son will cope with moving, he hates change and is really bad for routine! I can not even move anything around in his room with out him having a episode

  • Hi - what a horrible situation.  Have you a social worker and/or other professionals who can help?  I'm wondering if you've approached housing assocs + also your local council? The fact your son is being assessed may help get you more points.  Also have you tried Citizens Advice or you council's welfare right's dept for advice?  I don't know if there's info via the nas home pg.  You cd also phone the nas helpline for advice - you may get an answerphone but I understand someone will ring back but not immediately.  Also it is worth finding out who your local councillor is + going to their ward surgery to see if they can support your case.  If you've already done all this, then sorry!  Best wishes.
