Why do we sometimes wear our hobbies as clothing do you think?

My theory is that as autists we find it hard to talk to people we don’t know who might be worth talking to so wearing our favourite bands or ganes or shows on a shirt opens up rhe chance for a conversation or a  possible friendship(which are hard to find)

  • I'm like Cat woman - I don't really want to be noticed. I did buy a David Bowie t-shirt at his concert when I was in my teens, but I think that was more wanting to feel part of something - I never wore it much and soon discarded it.

I did like the "Save the cheerleader, save the world" t-shirts that came out when the series "heroes" was on TV but I wouldn't have bought one.

The most relevant (for me) t-shirt I ever saw said "Doesn't play well with others"

  • I saw this t-shirt image - which made me smile - although, I wouldn't wear one (that is what I would be thinking - as someone invites me to a social event).
