Why do we sometimes wear our hobbies as clothing do you think?

My theory is that as autists we find it hard to talk to people we don’t know who might be worth talking to so wearing our favourite bands or ganes or shows on a shirt opens up rhe chance for a conversation or a  possible friendship(which are hard to find)

  • Those who dress alternatively, the ones wearing pop culture t shirts and hoodies or those who prefer a 00s emo/goth style tend to be (in my opinion) more likely to be neurodivergent. The type who like to play magic, D&D and other similar card games. The clothes are perhaps an expression of interest as well as the card games being a sign of preferring fantasy over reality. I’m not saying everyone who plays these card games needs to get a diagnosis but I am aware of many who are on the spectrum and enjoy this type of fantasy role play. Birds of a feather flock together, perhaps this is a nice, fun way for like minded people to get together and make friends. I may be completely wrong, perhaps I am.
