Thank you! Hope I’m not overreacting again

Hi guys,

I just want to thank everyone who has been very supportive of me lately. I want to apologise for any inconveniences I may have caused and for overreacting with certain posts lately. I am very grateful that you have all defended me and put me at ease, both the community members and the moderators! I just want to say that I have been diagnosed with EUPD recently as well as CPTSD  and it’s all a bit overwhelming so I may have overreacted as I thought I had caused some division and anger in the community but again thank you for reassuring me that this isn’t the case. I do also have a tendency to misinterpret things and takes me some time to process things.

Hope we can chat again soon x

  • These sound like fairly common autistic traits and most of us have them often.

It helps to ask for clarification if you are unsure of things I find - I've gotten into an arguement or two on here when it seems in retrospect that we were talking about different facets of the same thing and taking the time to ask - "I'm talking about this aspect - are we disagreeing about different things?" would have saved much hot air.

The vast majority of the time this site is positive and supportive and you will soon spot the odd quirky posters and learn to ignore them and with the way the mods have stepped up with the trigger warning stuff, it should be easy to avoid stuff you don't want to read about.

It's good to have you as part of the community.

  • Thank you for getting back to me and glad you enjoy me being here. Yeah we are all different and have different triggers and I think it’s good to have the trigger warnings now. I can understand the frustration with moderation though as I have this issues on a well fake website of a game I used to play growing up. The filters are much more insane there trust me! I do feel coming here has helped me see things from different perspectives and I can understand where you came from with that porn convo we had but it just takes time for me to process things but I’m glad we didn’t fight over it. Say I suppose I see it negative because of my trauma and well I’ve never been in relationships so yeah
