Hi I’m Ollie I’m 20 and looking to meet a girlfriend. I have asd and don’t leave the house other than to go to the cinema so it makes it hard to meet someone. Any suggestions please on anything or dating sites that work?

This 2020 article by the YouGov pol tracker shows the places UK people found their partner.
About 18% of the general population met through their workplace (a potential disadvantage for Autistic adults who may not experience the same levels of employment).
Next category 18% through mutual friends (Autistic adults often have to work harder than some others to maintaining friendships).
15% said the met while out and about (so that is definitely worth thinking upon in more detail).
Coming in fourth at 11% was "other" (so there is hope for everyone).
It is not until fifth place at 7% that people reported through an online dating platform (...lower representation than I would have guessed - not sure I would rush to pay a large subscription!).

That was quite interesting - If we assume that the graph trends include all the major ways people met then it implies that a very small percentage of 18-24 year olds are even in a relationship.
I also note the proportion of people who meet offline seems to be growing in the younger age groups, although that could also be down to the fact many in this group have the likes of college / uni or friend groups from school days in their orbit still.
The article is 5 years old now but I don't think much has changed in that time other than the cost of living.
The one takaway is that it seems better to be out there meeting people than trying online so it may be time to get out to some social groups for your interests or even just get out and say hello to people more.
Assuming you want a date that is...
