I’m Mum, my daughter was diagnosed at age 11 and at the time we were all a bit naive about autism and what it involved. Most of her diagnosis revolved around the education environment however, she is now 22 and while still at uni I feel that there are probably other areas that we need to highlight and have officially written down that she needs help and supporting that are outside of the education environment. I want To support my daughter to live as independently as possible, but she will need some support which We’ve managed to get a support worker via her DSA assessment, but again that’s in an educational setting and I really feel that she could benefit this in her everyday life.
My question is has anybody had a reassessment just to make sure that all Needs and support a documented. How do I go about this?
