Sorry  to read you are feeling sad. I hope this soon passes.

  • Dear SnowGritGuy,

Thank you for reaching out to the online community. I can see you've already had a really helpful responsible, I hope this has helped you feel less alone. I am sorry that you are going through such a difficult time.

As mentioned I do need to list our urgent help guidance:

If you are unable to cope with the distress or despair, it’s very important to tell someone about your feelings or thoughts. Call your GP and make an urgent appointment. Your GP can make sure you get appropriate help and support

The National Autistic Society does not currently operate a crisis or emergency service. We advise you to contact 999 or any of the mental health crisis lines listed on our Urgent Help Page if you are at risk of immediate harm: www.autism.org.uk/.../urgent-help

If you are not at immediate risk of harm, we would encourage you to speak to your GP or another health professional about this if you haven’t done so already. If it’s outside your GP hours call 111 to reach the NHS 111 service: www.nhs.uk/.../

  • Hi SnowGritGuy,

So I have problems concentrating well enough to read long passages, so apologies if I do not pick up on something you have said.

    You are not alone here.

    You are among friends here.

I'm not sure if you have posted here before, as I'm not always following all the new threads. But if this is your first post, welcome and do feel welcome.

What things do you like to talk about? There is bound to be someone here who shares your interests, in a way that other people won't understand.

Many of us have been just where you are now. Feeling hopeless about life. The Mods will be sending you a message about whether you are feeling safe. And so I will do it here too.
