How is everyone weekend?

Hay haven’t really posted for a while so I just thought I’d ask you guys how your weekend is going. Me I went to an air show with my dog it wasn’t great the weather was up and down and everything was delayed. I got to see my favourite planes fly the typhoon and the red arrows which was amazing. My dog had lots of fuss from people and wasn’t bothered by the planes at all. Tomorrow I’m over my friends so I’m going to leave my dog home tomorrow know she be safe with the planes flying over and I’ll watch the show from my friends flat have a few ciders and then we going to have homemade curry in the evening time. That’s my weekend sorted what about you guys?

Parents
  • Mine hasn’t been very good. Suffered a burnout and then to top it off had a big argument with my mum. Not feeling very loved or wanted by anyone at the moment (never been close with the family)

  • Sorry to hear this.

Families can feel like really hard work sometimes.  I tried phoning a relative recently - only for someone else (I didn't recognise) to answer their phone in a super-unwelcoming and rude manner.  Long story made short; it turns out the relative I wanted to speak with had another relative staying with them and that person took it upon themselves to answer the householder's landline in that way!  Quite the oddest "family" experience for a long time.

Have you got any crafty things projects ongoing in which to immerse yourself for a while?

I am currently sorting out a small plushie Lamb to kit out with a suitable piece of clothing and badges - ready to become a mascot to attach to the outside of my rucksack when I attend a community service organisation large event in September.

I have the recycled materials plushie, some of the needed fabric / ribbon / badges are here for part of the "mascot" outfit, and a key piece of suitable  doll / toy clothing is expected to arrive by post this week.

The mascot contains recycled plastic pellets and has a body base which lends itself to being set down in a stable seated position at events like a quiz.

Trouble is: now I have noticed (available in the same plushie range) they also do a small rabbit - which I like too ...I haven't bought one (but was considering doing so to add to my sunflower small rucksack of self-regulation items - ear defenders, noise cancelling headphones, fidget items, hat, sunglasses etc.).  I cannot really justify the purchase (beyond thinking that a rabbit is simply good for the spirit).

Children
  • I’m sorry to hear about that odd family experience you had to have, I don’t understand why people have to be so cruel like that, how can they live with themselves?

Ah I love doing crafty stuff, that can really help soothe me. Unfortunately due to my recent move to my new place and it getting redecorated, all my crafty stuff is still with my parents at the moment. I do have some sketch paper I could doodle random things on, and I also have those colouring books which I could also colour in. I might also watch some cartoons or something too. My eyes are still really stinging from all the crying so might need another nap ha.

Ohh loving the sound of all your plushies for your mascot! I hope you enjoy finishing it off for September. I hope the clothing comes soon, I am having to wait for the switch 2 to get in stock before it comes to me in the post like next month supposedly. I defo think you should buy the small plushie rabbit too as that sounds super cute and you can never have too many plushies!
