Hi there 

i am new to this community and i have been diagnosed with autism and adhd. I am having problems with my daughter getting diagnosed with her school not being very helpful with us and i am looking to see if there is anything people can suggest to look to get some help for her and acutely be seen by some one

    I don’t have much advice (I’m from the States, anyways), but I also got my daughter diagnosed after my diagnosis. We struggled less with getting her diagnosis (though that was a bit of a struggle, too) than we did getting it accepted by her school. The school, for whatever reason, kept digging in their heels that the diagnosis was wrong. We even had the principal say that our daughter was “defiant” and “does not make connections with others,” both of which are false.

    So yeah, I can understand the school not being very helpful.
