Housing

Hello

I am finding it hard to find sensory issues with flat. When I think I focus on the wrong things as I am hyperfocuaed on out side environmental issues and wonder what would be classed as sensory inside or verbalse it

  • I would get a notepad and use one page for each room then as you walk into the flat write a note on the things you have sensory issues with (either at the time you stand there or what you can remember from previous times standing there).

Do this in each and every room - there will probably be lots of empty space on the notepad but that will be used later.

Keep the notepad always easy to access and as the things trigger you or you remember them - write it down.

After a few days of doing this you can start to see which things are most important so you can start to write this list with all the points you have already written down. This will be a good time to add some detail to each point but try to keep it to a sentence or two.

Keep copies of the letter (maybe photograph it on your phone) in case you want to refer to it later.

Having the single point to capture all the info, the systematic checking of each space and the time to relax and add to it should give the best results I think.
