When a relationship ends & you're financially dependant on your partner

Hi there
My partner can no longer cope with me and has just ended our relationship. I've been diagnosed with ADHD and on a waiting list for autism assessment. I'm 47, completely dependant on my partner financially and not currently working. Over the last year I received multiple diagnoses and currently going through the PIP reconsideration stage.
- Where do I go to get help? (they want to sell the house ASAP)
- Is there any help? (suspect little help is available)
I knew this was coming and have put a few savings aside but not enough to cover finding a new home and paying rent. Any advice or information would be hugely appreciated as I currently have no clue what to do or where to go. Online trying to speak to Citizens Advice but no-one available. Think I need to be up earlier for that.
Many thanks in advance.

  • Sorry that you are in such a horrible situation.

I would agree with other suggestions that you should get legal advice and keep attempting to contact Citizen’s Advice.

If I were in your situation, I would ask my solicitor if I had any rights over remaining in my current accommodation or in moving to new accommodation.
