I feel sad today

This will pass, and I'm going to let it pass in it's own time. How is everyone feeling today?

Parents
  • I woke up feeling terrible (stressed and worrying about all the stuff going on in my life right now) - but my day gradually started to improve. I watched a really calming Dharma talk on Youtube and that helped me to calm down, and then I had a nice lunch and that helped too. I’m lucky that I have my son for company all day and he is such good company. Then I went for a walk in the countryside and that helped me to feel more peaceful (it always does) and then I got caught in the rain which was actually really lovely! Then in the evening I started to worry about all my problems again. So it was a very up and down day - which is quite normal for me tbh.

  • I can relate to this. Mine are up and down all the time. It's really difficult to regulate them and stay in a good mood all the time because they can change without me knowing why. The fear that they'll drop too low and I won't be able to work the next day is always there. Luckily this doesn't happen that often.

I try to rest when I need to, stay hydrated and fed, try to avoid foods that make my mood crash (high sugar etc) meditate and get enough fresh air and exercise without doing too much and burning myself out. It's a mentally exhausting balancing act and even then it often doesn't work.

I hope you feel better after a sleep. Blush
