Autistic individuals’ views of ABA

Note: This account only posts external research that has been approved by the NAS research team.

My name is Ro Sahsan-Stock and I’m a Trainee Clinical Psychologist from the University of Leicester. My research is exploring – specifically the views of autistic adults who have identified with being non-speaking at any point in their life, and who experienced ABA in the UK as a child. This would involve an online interview which can either be carried out through a video, audio, or text-only format. This would take between 45 and 90 minutes, and you will be compensated for your time.

Therefore, I am looking to recruit participants who are over the age of 18 with a clinical diagnosis of autism (or equivalent) from the UK, who are able to understand and communicate in English (verbally or written), and do not have a diagnosis of learning disability. Participants may currently identify as being non-speaking, or may have identified as non-speaking at any point in their life.

If you are interested in sharing your experiences or would like to understand more, please email me at rgss1@leicester.ac.uk. Thank you.Autism-Study-Poster 2.0_compressed.pdf
