Using Spoon Theory

Today, I'm definitely needing to sit down and work out my spoons for the day and maybe even the week ahead.

For those of you who have not used Spoon Theory, here's the best link I could find so far to describe it. But if anyone has got a better link, please, please post it here for me. Especially if you have a pdf that can be filled in.

I have also adapted this with a connect four set. For those of you who have missed out on this very intense game, I am attahing a 1981 advert from youtube.

Now time for me to sit down with pen and paper and the 1981 connect four.

Best wishes,

Mrs Snooks

  • Hello mrs.snooks,

I LOVE spoon theory, and while I've never heard a Connect Four metaphor, I couldn't have described it better myself. Like many people diagnosed late, I figured out that the chronic fatigue that has plagued me my entire life is not, in fact, normal, and what a weight off the shoulders that was! I found a lovely little app called SpoonieDay that's available in the US, and it's been my holy grail ever since. It's so nice to feel absolutely drained like a raisin, only to look at a chart and say, "oh....no wonder."

    Lots of love,

    Max (a fellow spoonie)
