Hello all,
So I have been in and out of therapy for a few years for low mood/anxiety particularly focusing on social anxiety. Normally we use CBT and do a lot of exposures and dropping of safety behaviours. I find the exposures hard and I am tired after doing them but I do tend to feel a bit better and accomplished. I tend to get in a cycle of doing more and more but then becoming burnt out and my skills regressing again. I now have a official autism diagnosis (and am on the wait list for ADHD assessment).
Really what I want to ask is does anyone find that CBT and exposure is good and helpful for them or is there any methods that work better/more effectively?
