Right to Choose

Evening.

after over 3 years on the waiting list I’ve found out about Right to choose. Not something they advised me of previously, but something someone mentioned to me a few weeks ago.
the GP wasn’t sure either on the process but has now said I can give him a place for referral.
has anyone gone this way? Just having a search and psychiatryUK have come up as option.
I’m based northwest England.
anyone else used these people?
any hints and tips much appreciated Hugging

  • I used Psychiatry UK and they were great. Something to bear in mind though, some NHS Autism services only offer post diagnosis support to individuals who they assessed and diagnosed themselves and don't count right to choose diagnoses. Mind you, post diagnosis support is often minimal anyway. In my area I'm not really missing out on anything!
