Up until recently MU son lived with his mother, but section 20 later he has come home to me and my partner ,yay
Dla contacted, he gets high care, low mobility for his aspergers...
now this is where it gets complecated...
rhys goes to a specialist school, statemented. He stays there every other weekend and home the other weekends and all school holidays.
his mother didn't tell the DLA he is at this school, so they are a bit concerned.
we are trying to sort house budgets, my partner and I both currently work full time, 12 hour shift pattern 999 ambulance.
to be there for Rhys my partner will think about dropping 2 shifts and going part time.
So we are trying to suss out how we can afford to rent still and pay the bills.
as rhys goes to the school, dla can't say how they pay his award, so how can we budget, food and care etc ?? Currently the only benefit we get, awarded when rhys came back to us is child benefit, tax credits say no at the moment ?
what do we do?
hopeing someone else is in the same situation who can help???
