Does anyone get these? I was just in the kitchen and my partner was talking to a stressed mom on the phone about hospital appointments. KT is very aware and very understanding and at one point when the mom realised that KT empathised and completely understood what she was going through she burst into tears.
I also do this. When I feel I'm being understood, when I feel I'm being validated, and when people are kind, accommodating and meet my AuDHD needs, it brings me to tears.
Someone recently said it's a form of relief that after years of invalidation and misunderstanding, finally someone understands and the emotion comes through in waves.
Does anyone relate to this?
Just to clarify I'm a very teary person these days and I think it's part of unmasking and allowing myself to feel my emotions to the full. I'm no longer on anti depressants and I prefer to feel the full spectrum of highs and lows.
Lows can be difficult to get through at times, but highs are pure euphoric joy.
