Does autism acceptance even matter?  Is it just for the young uns like Fortnite or tiktok?  What about the rest of us who lived long enough to be burned, heartbroken, disillusioned into hating ourselves and everything else.

Autistic people who don't have the charisma, smarts or looks will continue to be left out in the cold across all the spectrum no matter where we fall on it the world will continue to nonchalantly give us the shaft.

    Being a gobby person and generally stroppy, I give as good as I get, but I realise this isn't an approach that suits everyone.

    I do think that us latelings have it harder, all the services seem to be set up for young people and places such as Age UK are totally unprepared for Autisic adults, I wonder if it wil be like being back at school where you just get told to stop making a fuss or just get ignored?

  • It certainly feels that way sometimes. It also makes me sick and triggers my sense of injustice that that bullies ALWAYS seem to win.
