Amazon often has 30% off warehouse returned items. Buy one that is "like new" and you can save a bundle. This is how I got mine.
As a word of advice, they are much smaller than you think. I have a single matress and I needed to buy a double to fit it. As the one for a single over goes over your feet and nowhere else. The double is the size of a single mattress and the one I recommend.
If you have a double then probably a king size is the one you may need.
They’re listed in dimensions rather than weight annoyingly, think they were 2, 4, 6 & 8kg
would you be able to send a link for th eones you got off ebay??
I got some grey cotton ones on eBay for £20-25 that have lasted for years so far. Can get them in a variety of weights. The expensive ones tend to be made of fleece or more expensive patterned fabrics to appeal to kids
There is quite a lot to consider about your personal ideal choice of weighted blanket - even before you get to the price consideration.
This recently updated product review steps through some of the things to decide as relevant to the person who will use the blanket:

I am in the market to buy one. However, of all the product purchases I am thinking of trying in support of my wellbeing, this is the decision which I have put to the end of the queue - as I feel it needs more careful research - and depending on the criteria I decide are important to me - I might need to put it on my "Christmas List" and budget towards it's purchase.
In the meantime, something else which I have been looking into is a lap blanket - which might be helpful when sat at my desk on virtual calls, or when travelling on public transport, or when visiting a relative - something more portable and cost-effective - to help me relax by knowing where my legs are (if that makes sense). I have even seen some homemade suggestions for a lap blankets - using stitched cells containing dried beans etc. - which might be a way of experimenting with which weight / size suits my purpose.
When I am sat in the garden, or outdoors at an event etc., I use a heavy duty, heavy wool blend, US army-style blanket. They are usually either grey with red trim or olive green with green trim. They work out at about £25 (delivered) and are described as dry clean only - but I do gently wash them with care as a wool item. They are only 1.5 kg in weight, but it is enough for me to feel less "mystery body" - for lack of a better description. SIZE : 60" X 80" ( 152 CM X 203 CM ). I tend to fold them in half, lengthways, and I have added a couple of bias binding tabs, with heavy-duty poppers / press-studs, to keep the folded blanket in that configuration as I move about on a picnic etc.
I won't risk another link in this reply, however, the sort of outdoor blanket I described is often used by Scouts / Guides / Cadets etc. for camping, or when sat around a campfire - you can find them via popular online retail platforms - search parameters such as "Wool Blanket Army Military Style Combat Field Camping Outdoor Sleeping Work New".
I take my outdoor blanket with me to a neighbour's house if we are going to sit outside for a conversation with our coffee - I find it helps my concentration by being more "home-from-home".
