Neurodivergency "week" or "month"

I'm sure this has come up before but I didn't want to endlessly scroll to find out. I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are on celebrating neurodivergency week or month (whatever we're up to now). I'm not against giving neurodivergency some more awareness and educating people. But how do we feel about it being a week. Does celebrating it for a week take away from it for the rest of the year because we've moved onto the next week or month? Should these weeks just be normality that neurodivergency is an every day kind of conversation? I don't know how I actually feel about it. I'm just interested.

  • I get a bit fed up with it all to be honest, it's alright trying to raise awareness, but does it actually work or is it all a load of ribbons and balloons and back to normal next week? By normal I mean forgetting we exist, deciding what help we do or don't need without ever asking us? Is this just another way for NT's in particular and society as a whole to make itself believe they're "doing something?"
