Universal Credit New Claim Interview - Umm

Hey

Panicked a tad

Ok so for the interview on the 31st, I've asked what I need to bring - ID only!

I can ask for reasonable adjustments but I have no idea what I should ask for that'll make this any easier

Parents
  • The first interview you are there for ~10 minutes. They look at your ID and bank card (to prove they have the right details to pay you) and then ask you about UC50 (Capability for work assessment). If they don't offer it. Ask them about the UC50 so they can apply for it on your behalf.

You need to quickly get the ball rolling with UC50.

If you can get one, get a fit note from your GP as it will make life so much easier as without it they will be asking you about what jobs you will be applying for and etc.

Getting the fit note means they automatically setup UC50 for you.

You can often go online and request a fit note through the internet with your GP so you don't need an appointment to see your GP to get one
