Is anyone else on the edge about the cuts and narrative surrounding disabled people at the minute..
Makes me think is there any point in continuing on..

It seems like rebellion is building on the back benches, so hopefully many of these "reforms" won't happen, maybe Liz Kendall will lose her job again, I don't like that woman, never did, she appears to have the empathy of a turd
My policy is wait and see. Some of us might come out better financially ( I hope).
I don't get PIP or any disability benefit.
I'm on universal credit and the job centre insists that I'm fine and should be working and I have to look for work.
Employers disagree, I keep getting fired and described as unemployable because of my bizarre body language and behaviour.
In my opinion, people like are us are definitely one of their main targets. It seems they think autistic people and those with mental health issues should not be receiving any kind of PIP. A lot of the public seem to have the same opinion. I'm not confident we will get through this unscathed.
I hope MPs that dont believe in these cuts put their voice forward for us people who struggle in life.. its not our fault we were born different. But these times are worrying indeed, i am just about hanging on and stopping a shut down..
Sadly, this Labour government is not at all concerned about social justice. It is not surprising that many Labour MPs are not happy about the proposals. It sounds like Starmer will be pushed to consider those who really can’t work, so planned measures may be scaled back.
Honestly I can relate. Since it's been in the news I genuinely have been so on edge and I'm so worried for the future. I just wish people were more understanding. I hate the whole narrative of disabled people get hands outs of lots of cash easily. Most of my Pip goes towards paying for my care £400 a month.
Also my work capability is due soon and I'm so scared for that.
**Edit**
My family sent me a link to a Scope national petition / letter you can sign that they are sending to the Chancellor. www.scope.org.uk/.../open-letter-to-the-chancellor-the-cost-of-cuts-to-disability-benefits
I agree, it is a worrying situation. I joined Disabled people Against Cuts, a group that protests against these cuts and recently won a legal case against a DWP consultation. I hope to go on a protest should there be one. Like everyone else said, try not to get too caught up in doom scrolling and avoid Reach and the endless click bait.
