As it can take a looong time for faults to be remedied, I thought this could fill in for now?
1. My Vabysmo eye injection this afternoon at the hospital.
2. I wore my 'hidden disabilities' thingy around my neck.
3. Home and having a curry tonight

what I liked when I was a kid
Hello! Thanks so much for sharing! This is a good starting point for me also! Purple is such a cute color, I wear a lot of whites recently. I adored my kindergarden, I had a community and I felt free. Trying to reproduce it, it is a bit hard now in adulthood. The coworking office is not a bad choice for this until I manage to have some real friends. It is very international and cause of the wars around us, sometimes it is a bit harsh to have members from these countries with all the struggles they have, once I like them, it does effect me of in a personal level.
It’s super fun to work out why I feel attached to certain images!!
I feel attached to hiking in the forest, sitting down alone on a cute cliff with hot earl grey tea and just forget about all contexts and all struggles and just let my body think by watching hills and the trees. It is a lonely experiance but if I go with people I need isolation to get rid of all social contexts and breath. Sometimes I feel ashamed I do this but since I’ve read a lot about ASD, it is a bit more chill.
find a character that I can relate to
For me it is still Elio from the movie, Call me by your name. Coming of age story seems adaptable for me for this ‘coming of autism’ somehow. Also I speak Italian which relaxes my mind every time. Also in Dune I like the main character (yepp, againTimothée Chalamet) the rules of Arrakis the new planet he lives in, he can represent my struggels and also joys with NT people.
I am really looking forward to getting to know myself more!
Sometimes I get surprised by myself. I like candel lights a lot, I read next to it. I hope my joys are not isolating me. here in this community I can read and get relaxed by other members experiances being familiar and finally I don’t feel that isolated but I feel understood.
1. Unjammed a printer today and it took a while but was so satisfying!
2. Got a delivery of Red Dwarf magazines from eBay- they’re so cool and in really good condition! Can’t wait to add them to my collection.
3. Made some good progress on my animal crossing island (I made a lovely flower garden and flower inspection area)
Hey! Yeah of course, I enjoy speaking to you Ma.ra. it started with remembering what I liked when I was a kid, so I LOVED purple when I was younger, it was the only colour I’d wear. Recently I’ve started reintroducing more purple back into my wardrobe and it makes me feel so like myself.
Also, I’ve been trying to consume different media so that I can find a character that I can relate to- before the only character I could ever relate to was SpongeBob (I know that’s a bit silly but it’s true!) but now I’ve been trying to look at other characters in shows, books and films and see if they have qualities that I have.
Pinterest has been really helpful. If I find an image that has a similar energy or vibe to me, I add it into a board. That way I have kind of like a collage of images/ colours/ patterns that I feel represent me! It’s super fun to work out why I feel attached to certain images!!
I’ve also been taking more note of things I actually enjoy doing, not what I feel like I should be doing. This is only the start of this journey, but I am really looking forward to getting to know myself more!
I’d love to hear more about your journey too!
I will ask Chatgpt - only Norwegian I know is: Joachim Trier’s Verdens verste menneske
Hungary, cool! Hogy vagy?
I’ll send you the list, just have to translate it first :)
Norway! Oh! I’ve never been there, but my algorithm is always showing me tons of videos about Bergen and Norwegian nature! Beautiful!
I’d love to read the list. I’m from Hungary and we don’t really have this here. Thanks so much!
I’m not sure how it’s done where you live (I’m from Norway), but my psychological assessment was very thorough, and I was able to use that as a basis for the document. I also spent time reflecting on work-related stressors, why they affect me, and what accommodations would be helpful.
I’d be happy to share the list if you think it could be helpful - just let me know
Amazing! Thank You so much for the reply!
written document outlining my needs and challenges,
Wow! You can ask for this during the assasment?
every day I feel like I find something new that represents how I feel inside !
This is really important for me. I don’t want to be intrusive, but can I ask what things represent how you feel inside? I’m thinking about my own answers too. I need time for this.
1. Wore my NAS T-shirt to the gym yesterday - first time wearing it out in public.
2. I am mentally feeling prepared for the telephone call where I will be told off by a group I have joined
3. Doing more and feeling pretty positive about things.
1. Had a slow day today and didn’t feel guilty about it! Felt nice to know I have stuff to do but to trust that I’ll get it done another day
2. Been struggling with my anxiety and I’ve been talking to people about it more which is good because I am feeling supported
3. I’ve been thinking a lot about my identity and every day I feel like I find something new that represents how I feel inside !
1. I’ve started writing on Substack and that has been really fun! Met a lot of other autistic creative people on it and everyone seems really nice
2. Started my new book (The Husbands by Holly Gramazio) and I’m enjoying it so far
3. We had pipes burst in my work so we went to my colleagues flat to work and had a really wholesome day- we ate pastries, drank tea and read tarot cards! Felt nice to be around cosy energy
Sure :) So far, we have had one initial meeting. Further meetings have been scheduled, and clear timelines have been established.
By the end of January, we will have identified concrete actions. By the end of June, these actions will have been tested and evaluated.
We have agreed on making home office possible when needed, delegating certain tasks to others to reduce workload, and using written communication as the primary mode of communication. We have also agreed on a more flexible self-certification arrangement than what is standard.
All of this is based on a written document outlining my needs and challenges, which serves as the foundation for our discussions.
A follow-up meeting has been scheduled for next week to discuss further accommodations.
Hello! Amazing to overhear a compliment! Might I ask what did your new leader do to accommodate you at work? I am trying to figure out this and I can ask only here. Many thanks
As a kid, I always wondered why the forests, mountains, and rivers in Transylvania are so beautiful. I guess I should read some geography studies or just re-watch old childhood hiking photos.
