I have just read that adult autism diagnosis in NHS Grampian and NHS Forth Valley have cut their adult autism diagnosis support.
This means that individuals will no longer have access to diagnosis on the NHS.
Won't be too long before we see the whole of Scotland cut diagnostic capacity.
This leaves anyone on the waiting list with nowhere to go except private.
The argument being put forward is that formal diagnosis is not needed to receive accommodations at work so it is unnecessary. Well my situation with a formal (private) diagnosis is that my career has been ended by my manager using unreasonable as the excuse.
